More Than Enough

             More Than Enough          6/4/08

She had the world in her hands,
And yet, she wanted more
She had the love of her life,
And three kids she just adored.

If only she had known
To turn the other way
How was she to know.
A drunk driver was coming her way.

He swerved into the other lane,
And hit her car head on
When she finally come through
She knew that something was wrong.

The smell of blood was very strong,
And her eyes must have been misleading
For when she took a closer look
Her family was not breathing.

She screamed out loud in agony
The pain, she couldn’t take
Life was very wonderful
How could this have been their fate.

She wanted more all the time
When she had more then enough,
But in a heartbeat, all that changed
When she lost the ones she loved.
